Stewardship
In the Episcopal Church, we believe that stewardship is our personal response to God’s blessings and work in our lives. Out of gratitude, we give back. We do this by sharing our time, talent, and treasure to support the work of our church:
- spreading the good news of Jesus Christ
- serving others
- taking care of God’s creation
Stewardship is also about relationship: when we give, we do so joyfully because we love God and understand God’s abundant love for us.
At St. Thomas, we journey together in exploring how the practice of intentional giving deepens our walk with Christ and supports lifegiving ministries to our community and beyond. Your generosity furthers our mission and changes lives, and as you see it work, it in turn fuels your faith.
- Time: We offer open ministries that rely on the participation of parish members. Want to help out? Visit the Connect page.
- Talent: Whatever your skills or interests, at St. Thomas you will find a way to put them to use. We need teachers, gardeners, artists, technicians, musicians, and more. A diverse, thriving parish has a need for many talents. Visit the Connect page for more information.
- Treasure: Every year in the fall we ask parishioners to make an annual pledge—an amount of money they promise to give to St. Thomas over the course of the next year. We urge everyone to pray about this decision. We are called to tithe as part of our biblical covenant: for those who are able, we encourage you to put your trust in God and consider a 10% tithe. For those who are not, please give as you are able, and increase your pledge as God multiplies his blessings in your life.
By giving back into the kingdom of God, we bless others as we have been blessed.
