The day before Ash Wednesday is Shrove Tuesday. Other common names are Carnival or Mardi Gras. We’re celebrating with a zydeco service – festive music and food – make sure to wear a mask! This is your chance to celebrate before the somber season of Lent begins. We welcome Pastor Dr. Sandi Hutchinson, Gabriel Chapel AME Zion Church in Chesapeake, back to St. Thomas as our guest preacher. Her theme will be teaching the history of masquerading (to hide our sinful behavior from God and our neighbor) and preaching the Good News (choosing to follow Jesus).
